In November 2003, Gallery SAS invited Montréal’s graphic designers to submit a freeform creation, the designated canvas being a cotton t-shirt. The winning designs were juried by Philippe Dubuc, Patrick Lesort, Jean Beausoleil and Frédéric Loury and then exhibited and sold.
The second edition showcases the creations of painters, stylists, fashion designers, photographers and graphic artists, all utilizing the t-shirt as a medium, which will channel the various messages of very talented Montréal artists. Playful, political or simply aesthetic, the t-shirt will reflect the ideas of the artists concerning contemporary society.
For this edition, the jury will be composed of Nadya Toto, Herby Moreau, Ariane Moffatt and Carl Lessard.
The Onetop event is sponsored by the magazine "Grafika", the television channel MusiquePlus, the beverage company Guru, and the printing company Quadriscan. The shirts will be printed in collaboration with American Apparel and the printers, PLATEAU.
